Very Theda Blog
I have been thinking about doing a blog for some time. For many reasons, I think that I have a lot
of “useless” knowledge that may help others.
I have been married, raised three kids, been separated, widowed,
remarried, and now am a grandmother of 4 great kids. I also turned into my mother’s mother and
even my grandmother’s mother for a period of time. I was also a small business owner. I am 55 years old.
What am I going to write about? Life.
I seem to have inherited somewhat of a wise mind. I live for my family. I want to believe that I am a good wife,
parent, grandparent, and friend. My own
personal life, as everyone’s is always a work in progress. One thing is constant- life goes far too
fast. Again, I am 55. I have three adult children. I would give my eye teeth to have my babies
on my lap, rocking them to sleep, just one more time. Now, I am watching my grandbabies grow up and
time slipping away, again, way too fast.
My family history. My
parents were divorced when I was young.
I am the youngest of 4 kids. Two
brothers, then my sister and me. My dad
was remarried and I have a half-brother and sister. We lived in rural western
Pennsylvania. Our house was on my
paternal grandparent’s farm. I had free
reign between my grandparents and my own house.
My grandmother was amazing. She
was a spitfire. She had 6 sons in less
than 8 years. She was the person who had
the most influence with me. My
grandfather was a hard worker. He worked
in a steel mill and was a farmer. He was
also an alcoholic.
Growing up in the country with an extended family so prevalent
in my life molded me into the person I became. It was also important that I
extended that blessing to my own family.
My mom was extremely incorporated in my kids’ life’s. I very strongly feel that older generations
can teach and share invaluable lessons to children. The relationships built between the
generations are priceless. Two of my
kids had the honor of knowing two sets of great-great grandparents. Additionally,
two of my own grandchildren new one of their great-great grandmothers. Longevity is truly a blessing.
My personal hope with this page is that people read my
blog. That people interact with me on
this blog. In my mind, this blog with be
successful and use my life knowledge as a resource in their own life’s.
